PropPilot Terms Beta
Version 2026-10-05 · Part of FXfolder Bots
1. What PropPilot is
PropPilot is software: an Expert Advisor that runs inside your own MetaTrader 4 or 5 terminal. It trades a strategy template using settings you choose yourself, sizes positions from the risk you set, and applies the prop firm loss limits you give it. It is a tool. FXfolder does not trade for you, does not manage your account, does not choose your strategy and gives no investment advice. Nothing in the bot, its templates or its tracker is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
These terms add to the FXfolder Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and hold an active FXfolder membership to configure the bot or let it open trades.
2. Beta
PropPilot is in beta. It may have bugs, behave differently from what you expect, change without notice, or be paused. Run it on a demo account before any challenge or funded account, and watch it closely while you rely on it. Tell us what you find through Support.
3. Your strategy, your decisions
- You can start from a preset or build a strategy yourself. Either way you review every setting and decide to run it. Presets are starting points written by FXfolder to show how each template works. They are not tested for profit and no result is implied. Review every value before you trade.
- On a prop firm account in our rules library, a preset cannot trade until you change one of its entry settings, because other members can pick the same preset and firms look for identical trades across accounts.
- You decide whether and when trading is on, and you can switch it off at any time.
- Past results, including backtests, do not predict future results. Trading can lose all of the money in an account.
4. Prop firm rules are your responsibility
Prop firms set their own rules and change them without notice. Our rules library records what each firm published on the date shown beside it, and we never claim that using the bot complies with any firm's rules. Before you trade, confirm with your firm that an Expert Advisor is allowed on your account type and size, and that your settings are your own strategy. Some firms prohibit EAs above an account size, prohibit identical trades across accounts, cap the capital one strategy may hold, or prohibit passing with an EA and then trading the funded account by hand. The bot refuses accounts the library says do not allow EAs, but that check is only as current as the library.
FXfolder is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any prop firm named on the platform. Firm names are used only to describe the rules you choose.
5. What the risk guard can and cannot do
The guard runs in your terminal and acts on every price update: it stops new trades and closes positions at the levels you set, below your firm's limits. It works on a best-effort basis and it cannot prevent every breach. In particular:
- It only works while your terminal is running and connected. A closed terminal, a lost connection or a stopped VPS protects nothing beyond the stops already at your broker.
- Prices can gap past a level, and orders can fill with slippage, especially around news, at the open and over weekends.
- Your broker may reject, delay or partially fill an order.
- While the bot talks to FXfolder (a few seconds at most), it does not react to prices.
- If your firm measures its limits differently from the rules you selected, the guard follows your selection.
6. If your membership ends
The bot stops opening new trades within a day of your membership ending (immediately once it next hears from FXfolder). It keeps applying its last risk settings to trades it already holds, and keeps sending you safety alerts, so that ending a membership never leaves a position unprotected. You can switch trading off, remove the key or delete the bot at any time.
7. Acceptable use
- Use the bot only on accounts you own and are entitled to trade.
- Do not share your bot key, sell access to your bot, or coordinate settings with others to trade identically.
- Do not modify the bot to get around its risk guard, its license check or a firm's rules.
- Do not run the bot where your firm or broker prohibits it.
We may switch off new entries for a bot, a template or the whole service at any time, for example if a template misbehaves. The guard keeps running.
8. Data
To run the tracker and alerts, the bot sends FXfolder your trading account number, server and broker name, balance, equity, margin, the bot's open positions and closed trades, and a log of what the bot did. It never sends your trading password. Closed trades are filed in your FXfolder journal. Deleting a bot deletes its tracker history and activity log; journal trades stay until you delete them.
9. Liability
PropPilot is provided as is, and in beta. To the fullest extent the law allows, FXfolder is not liable for trading losses, failed or lost prop firm challenges, challenge fees, missed profits, or losses caused by your terminal, broker, connection, firm, or settings. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The version above changes when we do, and a bot cannot switch trading on until its owner accepts the current version.
