Inside the report
Six Sections, One File
Everything a reviewer looks for, in the order they look for it, on A4 pages that print cleanly.
Summary figures
Net P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, average R, closed trades, wins and losses, fees paid, gross profit and loss, and your best and worst trade.
Equity curve
Cumulative P&L against your starting balance, with maximum drawdown in both money and percent, and your longest winning and losing streaks.
R-multiple distribution
How your outcomes spread across risk units, from three R losses to three R winners. The clearest single picture of whether your risk management is real.
Breakdowns
By symbol, session, setup, day of week, direction and tag. Ten rows each, ordered by net result, so a reviewer can see where the edge comes from.
P&L calendar
Up to three months of daily results in your own timezone, which is where consistency, or the lack of it, shows up fastest.
The trade list
Every closed trade in the period with date, symbol, side, size, entry, exit, R-multiple and net result. Truncation, if any, is stated on the page rather than hidden.
What gets read first
Drawdown, Then Consistency
Maximum drawdown
The largest peak-to-trough fall in the account. A firm risking its own capital cares about this before it cares about profit, because it is the number that predicts how much of their money you can lose in a bad stretch. The report states it in both money and percent.
The shape of the equity curve
A steady climb and a curve that doubled on one trade tell completely different stories about position sizing, even when they end at the same number. The curve is drawn from every closed trade, not a sample.
R-multiple distribution
Whether your losses cluster near one R. Losses spread out past three R say your stops are decorative, which is the single fastest way to fail an evaluation.
The report is a record you generate from your own history, not a certification. Firms set their own requirements and most run their own evaluation, so treat it as evidence supporting an application rather than a replacement for one.
How to get one
Three Steps
- 01
Get your trades in
Log them by hand, connect MetaTrader 4 or 5 for automatic sync, or upload a broker statement. All three end in the same place.
- 02
Pick a period
Open Analytics and choose the range and the account you want the report to cover.
- 03
Export the PDF
Press Export PDF. The report is generated from the same figures shown on screen, so what you send matches what you reviewed.

FAQ
Performance Report Questions
What is a prop firm trading report?
It is a summary of your trading record that a proprietary trading firm or funded-account program reviews when assessing you: how much you made, how consistently, and above all how much drawdown your method produced along the way. Most firms care more about the drawdown and the consistency than the headline profit.
What does the FXfolder report contain?
Summary figures including net P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy and average R-multiple; an equity curve with maximum drawdown and streaks; an R-multiple distribution; breakdowns by symbol, session, setup, day of week, direction and tag; a P&L calendar; and the closed-trade list for the period.
Can I produce a report for one account only?
Yes. Keep your live account, demo and prop challenge as separate journal accounts, each with its own starting balance and currency, and export a report for whichever one you need. Everything in the report is scoped to the account and date range you pick.
Do I need a membership for PDF reports?
Yes. Logging trades and exporting them as CSV are free with any FXfolder account. The PDF report is part of the analytics a membership unlocks, along with the equity curve, the P&L calendar and MetaTrader auto-sync.
Is the report accepted by prop firms?
It is a record you produce from your own trade history, not a certification. Every firm sets its own requirements and many run their own evaluation on their own platform, so treat it as evidence to support an application rather than a substitute for one. The figures are computed from the trades you logged, so it is exactly as accurate as your journal.
